Objective:To examine the effect of the combined use of Yasmin and Yasmin-D for women with mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Methods: Participants were women between the ages of 16 and 35 with moderate acne vulgaris. The study was conducted with the aim of investigating the use of Yasmin and Yasmin-D in combination to reduce the risk of postoperative acne and acne-related adverse events. Results: The mean age was 53.3 (range 19–87) and the women were predominantly female. The mean number of participants was 19 (range 0–63), the most used combination medication was Yasmin and Yasmin-D. The mean duration of acne attacks was 3.6 (range 1–15) and acne-related adverse events were 4.2 (range 0–10) with a mean of 3.6 (range 1–10). A high mean number of participants was reported among women in the combined use of Yasmin and Yasmin-D. The combined use of Yasmin and Yasmin-D resulted in a significant increase in the number of participants with moderate acne vulgaris and a reduction in the number of participants with mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Conclusion: Yasmin and Yasmin-D combined in combination was effective in reducing the number of participants with moderate acne vulgaris and a reduction in the number of participants with mild to moderate acne vulgaris. However, the mean duration of acne attacks was only 3.6 (range 1–10). In the combined use of Yasmin and Yasmin-D, the mean number of participants with moderate acne vulgaris and a reduction in the number of participants with mild to moderate acne vulgaris was only significant.
